With assistance from FMCS mediator Ken Armes in around-the-clock negotiations, Rural Metro Medical Services and Teamsters Local 375 reached a tentative, four-year agreement to end a one-day strike. The two sides reached a resolution after nearly three months of negotiations and a final, 21-hour bargaining session. The new agreement will cover over 400 paramedics and emergency medical technicians in the Western NY area. Rural Metro Corp. is a national provider of emergency services in 22 states.
